Sell Crafts, Buy Handmade

Craftsu makes 3rd party applications available as options for selling items directly from your profile page. To view the options, hover your mouse over the link in the top menu bar called "Shop" to see a drop-down list of 3rd party apps suitable for e-commerce.

If you come across other widgets for creating mini-stores, please post info to this forum so we can test them for compatibility.

Use of 3rd party e-commerce apps  may create user issues. Please follow the links in the apps themselves or Google the app name and go to the app's home page and read their FAQs. Or see the links below.

If you can't get an app to work properly, don't use it. At some point, we'll have successful users posting in this forum with advice. Once we get a list of helpful tips, I will post them and link to it from here.

Issues with Etsy Stores and Importing Products from Etsy to Craftsu
This thread from May, 2010 describes issues/problems importing Etsy store products to Ning networks (Craftsu)   http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=6526325

There is an app called Etsy Wishlist that lets you pick your favorites (can be your own store items) to display on other social network sites like Craftsu. You can sign up for the app through your Facebook account. For more information, see http://etsywishlist.com/faq

I can't get any of these apps to work : (
I'm not that clever mind , so it could just be me being thick.
Heather, thanks for including this! I am glad you were able to get your Mini working. I know a lot of our members are interested. For some, including the Etsy Mini on their Craftsu pages works great. For others, there have been display issues.

If anyone experiences a problem, it may be because of issues discussed on this thread on Etsy (May, 2010) as being one of security http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=6526325
I was able to add Artfire's Rapid Cart to my profile page. It seems to be working fine. Chech out my profile page to see the cart. Of course the one section of my studio that I have not retaken photo's of my products are the ones which always seem to show up in the mini store...hopefully by the beginning of next week I will have better product photos in all sections of my Artfire Studio. The advantage to Artfire's Rapid Cart is the customer does not need to be a member of Artfire to use the cart to check out. I am pretty sure the seller has to be a pro member of Artfire.
Hi Jeff,
I understand how to use etsy mini and the Rapid Cart from ArtFire BUT I just don't know how to place it on my page here....any chance you could explain in simple terms please? ( It's my RC I would like to use) I do not understand how to alter HTML. If I need too then just say that you can't help for that reason.
Thanks!
Rachael.
There is not HTML involved. Thankfully! Just created the RC in AF. I found that 4 items wide is to wide. Copy all the code. On your Craftsu's page scroll down to the photos box; just above the photo box you will see a edit button. This edit button will open a text box where you can paste the RC code and save. I had to do this a cople of times because I did not copy all the code one time and the second time somehow I copied text outside of the code box on AF...I am challenged when it comes to HTML too :-) . If you have any more questions or I did not make a step very clear just let me know and I will try to help some more. Good luck. Jeff
Jeff you're a Star! Thank-you so much. I now have my RC on my page. Brilliant!
Your page looks great! I really like how well the RC cart looks on the member page.
It's thanks to your help. You page is looking really great too...I like the colours and your work is excellent. Lots of variety, colour and neat.
