Sell Crafts, Buy Handmade

Hello to all you crafters!!  My name is Jeri and I am a beadaholic!!  There I said it.  Now it is out in the open!!

I am a self taught jewelry maker who works full time on the side to support my bead habit.  I am the phone nurse and ER scheduler for 10 Orthopaedic providers in beautiful upper East Tennessee.  I have worked in the medical field since I was a 13 year old Candy Striper (volunteer).  My mother was an RN in the ER and my dad a nursing assistant at the local VA .  Medicine was in my blood, now beads are.

Where the passion for beading came from was out of necessity.  My neighbor made earrings and when she decided to move to a starte across the country, I decided I needed to start beading.  That was in 2008 and so the obsession began!!  Now 4 years later, I have my own business, website on Etsy and a great following at local craft shows.

Hello Jeri!  I have always wanted to do beading!  Maybe some day soon I will try my hand at it.  I love to scrapbook, paint, make home craft, sew, and am very interested in genealogy (as a past time of course!).  I have my own web site and sell my crafts and scrapbook services strictly online. One goal for this year is to begin in the craft show circuit. I'm thinking not only is it a good way to sell and get my name out, but more importantly, a good way to meet new people and friends. Glad all is going so well for you!  Happy Beading!

By-the-way, I love the  Alaskan Sunset Quartz earrings on you site!  They are beautiful!

Thanks for your kind words.  I love the craft show circuit and have made a great number of friends doing shows.  I think you will really enjoy it!!  I have recently gotten into a little card making and love all the punchs and the selections of papers!!  I can see why scrapbooling is such a big deal!!

Enjoy your craft shows and let me know what you think!!

Welcome to CraftSU Jeri :) I do beading also though a tad crookedly, lol. The creations one can make though  are beautiful :)

I love to scrapbook and like to make them for others as well as my personal use. I am really hoping to do the craft show circuit this year.  I'm thinking summer and Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday times would be a good time to begin.  It seems as if sales would be up and those show would draw a lot of customers.  It's nice to hear when other crafts broaden their craft medium. I too love all the punches and gagets for making scrapbooks. I need to actually ask myself 'waht are you going to use that for?" in order to stop buying tools!  LOL!

Thank you for responding.  Talk to you again soon!

Hi Jeri,

Beading is something I've never done, but love what can be created doing it. My husband and I took our vacation last year to your beautiful state of Tennessee and loved it! Best of luck to you!
