Looking for some creative ways to market craft items. Please don't bother with suggestions like eBay, Etsy, craft shows, a website, etc. Those are all solid suggestions but they've been discussed to death. I'm looking for something *different.* My target audience are crafters who are just beginning to turn their hobby into a business. Their finances are probably slim, so the less expensive the suggestion, the better. What wacky but successful ways have you marketed your craft? What kind of weird, offbeat, or different (but successful!) techniques have you used to convince people to buy your product? What are some ideas that have boosted your sales, even in this difficult economy? Please DO NOT give me a short answer such as "I have all kinds of information - please let me know what you need."
