CRAFTSU Social Network, Buy Sell Crafts
Sell Crafts, Buy Handmade
Craftsu is of and for Artists, Craft Artisans and Photograpers. It's social networking as a means of promotion. Think Facebook for artists. Craftsu's role is to facilitate a healthy environment for artists to engage with each other and the network. We're also here to provide information about the Craftsu features and updates. These guidelines, along with our Terms of Service, are designed to ensure that everyone here has a great experience and gets the most out of Craftsu. In order to make Craftsu work, here's what this community needs from you:
Be Real Human Beings
In order to be a member of the Craftsu network, be an artist, craft artisan, photographer or indie designer. We encourage you to use your real name or a nickname. Aim for Respectful, Constructive Conversations Without constructive feedback and debate, we won't be able to achieve our collective goal of enabling artisans to get the most out of Craftsu. Without respect and civility, constructive feedback and debate is impossible. Therefore, respect and civility need to be the hallmarks of this community.
Share the Love
Share what you know and help out other Craftsu members where you can. Being generous with your time and knowledge can pay dividends now and in the future.
Search Before Posting
It's possible that there already a conversation taking place about a topic you want to discuss and keeping it all in one place makes it easier for everyone who's interested.
Be Relevant
Keep your posts on-topic and in the correct category of the forum. Keep any other comments relevant to the content they're attached to. Drive-by comments with no substance don't add to the conversation, they just make it harder to follow. Our administrators - all fellow Craftsu members - will reserve the right to remove off-topic comments and posts at their discretion in order to keep the conversation relevant. Here's a list of DON'Ts here on the Craftsu network:
Photos
This community is made up of artists, craftspeople, photographers and other artisans. We only accept photos of handmade art or crafts in the gallery area. Gallery photos of obviously mass manufactured items will be deleted by the admin and continued violations will result in suspension.
Promote Your Website
This is not the place to drop affiliate links or recruit new members to your own network. Linking to your Etsy, Artfire or website on your profile page is fine, but be considerate and conservative when linking on comment walls or as a signature on forum posts or replies.
Harass or Insult Other Members
Making personal attacks, insulting other members, or discussing a specific member in a negative way is not ok. The two golden rules are: if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all; and treat others as you'd like them to treat you.
Post Private Information
Do not publicly reveal information like your email address, phone numbers or addresses.
Spam
Spam is posting the same message repeatedly across the Craftsu network. Spam is writing the same post or comment over and over again. Spam is sending the same message to multiple members. Spam is promoting or advertising external services other than your art/craft website or other products. Please don't spam.
Private Message Craftsu Staff for Support
Private messages to Craftsu staff members that relate to support (i.e. "how do I do X?" or "what is the status of ticket XYZ?") may not be answered. We know that sounds harsh, but if we get pulled in too many different directions, we won't be able to serve anyone well. If you have a question about how to accomplish something on Craftsu, please try searching for a solution on the Help Center or blog posts. If you can't find a solution, post your question in the correct forum category; chances are high that another member knows the answer and can help.
The Fine Print:
If it wasn't obvious, violating any of these guidelines above will result in suspension or banning from the Craftsu network. Making this a safe, constructive place to exchange information is our top priority. Additionally, forum threads in the wrong section will be moved, without notice, to the appropriate place. To keep the sanity, Craftsu also reserves the right to close any discussion thread for any reason and to delete inappropriate content. In rare circumstances, Craftsu may delete information from the forums. We're not looking to censor anyone, but it's our responsibility to ensure the integrity of the Craftsu network and we take that very seriously.
