Beatrice, earlier today I noticed that you left a comment on my blog at Craftmarketer.com, and I recommended creating neutral backgrounds for your images. Then, I sent you to a link with a video on taking photos for Etsy store owners. I had a few minutes so I re-watched that video and they seemed to think it was okay to have bright backgrounds. As long as most of the image is your item itself, the background shouldn't distract the viewer. My thinking on your work is that the pieces are so colorful on their own, they will stand out either way.
