More About Me
I'm a professional craft artist and author. Craftsu is part of my ongoing mission to make it easier for shoppers looking to buy handmade to connect directly with craft artisans and to help craft artisans learn how to increase their online presence.

Many of you already know me from my craft business books and articles. For those who choose to learn more, visit my other site on topics related to growing a craft business.

When I am not here on Craftsu, I am doing my thing as a certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach, blogging, teaching, or weaving. I work in a studio frequently visited by deer, bear, bobcats, the occasional skunk and other wildlife next to the Cibola National Forest in central New Mexico.

Thank you, James. I hope to do some weaving this year. My 8-harness Macomber is in storage due to space. But I am looking at houses to buy and a place for my loom is a requirement now! It has been too long. :D

Hi James, I just joined February 2. I still need to do some studying about the site. First impression was that it was so cool to discover the slide show on my page. I see that you have chosen on of my original artworks to use for your ad image. Do you rotate members images in your site advertising? Anyway, enjoy. That piece was designed specifically for that use. If it's automatic, "cool". If it was selected, "Thank you", and am I identified as the artist or is it linked to my page? ...Billi

Yes it is a small world. So cool to be neighbors. Thank you for creating a very badly needed site for artists. I became a self taught artist being a stay at home mom a few years back. Now I am really struggling with this economy (as so many other artists are im sure). Unfortunatly thinking of looking for a steady 9-5 grind job again has been crossing my mind. Just when my business started to grow the economy dropped, and it has been very tough. I really dont want to give up and I look forward to following your advise.
Thank you again,
Sincerly

Hi James: I am going to get some photos of the crafts I have made, I like doing crafts and I have been "grandchampion in needleword" at our local County fair several times. But... making more than one is the hard part I like to make something then something else different. I don't like the process of an assembly line craft. Is this bad? I have made - like ponchos but always different colors, none the same. Judie

I will mention your site to my husband but I'm sure it will be a few months before he has any time to spend online again. He's got his hands full with being the CFO for an ABQ government contractor as well as for my corporation and this is his busiest time of year in general.

Thanks for inviting me to Crafts U, James. I enjoyed your books and have recommended them to several artists and crafters over the past year. You can count on me to mention Crafts U to them as well.
