Introduction to Creating a Group

You can use groups on Craftsu to meet people with your interests or in your region. For example, if you are a jewelry artist and would like to network with other jewelry makers about common interests and concerns, you could have group called "Jewelry Artists." Craft artisans who want help with marketing can go to http://www.craftsu.com/group/artisans and join the group called "Artisans."

Craft artists who live in Texas may want to network about craft shows and stores that sell handmade items locally, posting reviews of sales or issues concerning Texas artists.

A list of Craftsu groups is visible on the site so you can see what's happening. To start a group, click on the link "Add a Group". Your group will need to be approved by the site moderator. Once approved, you administer the group as you see fit, as long as your activities fall within the Craftsu site guidelines.

Groups come equipped with their own discussion forum, RSS reader, text box and comment wall, and several privacy settings. As a group creator, you can choose the features and privacy settings you'd like to have for your group.
