Sell Crafts, Buy Handmade
I’ll admit, I’m still working on finding great marketing avenues in this saturated world wide web. Not only are the craft/pet supplies websites abundant, so are all of the websites available to gain exposure. So what’s one to do? Out of the numerous blogs I’ve read, several had a common theme: ”create a Pinterest profile”, ”it’s a great generator of traffic to your website”! Holy chow! Were those bloggers ever right!
*Enter shameless plug here*: Be sure to follow our boards on Pinterest!
So, if there are any other newbies out there needing advice on where to start drumming up traffic for their website, I say hands down, Pinterest is the way to go.
What do you need to do to get started with Pinterest? It’s simple! If you don’t already have a Pinterest account, request an invite. Most accounts are personal accounts, but in November 2012, Pinterest opened the option up for businesses to have their own boards too. You can even switch your personal account over to a business one if you prefer. Once invited, you can set up your account and your boards then pin away!
Guaranteed…it will be your new addiction. The visual platform is great for any craft/artisan to gain exposure and website traffic.
So what are you waiting for? Pin, Like, Re-pin. Repeat! And don’t forget to follow us!
